Frequently Asked Questions

Our FAQ
Zurich YourLife is an online life insurance policy that pays out a lump sum amount if you die during the policy term.
All policy types will provide:
Life cover – in the event of your death within the policy term, we will pay the life cover amount and the policy will end.

Optional benefits

Terminal illness benefit – we will pay a lump sum on the diagnosis of a terminal illness (as long as the diagnosis occurs at least 18 months before the end of the policy term), as an advance of the life cover amount.

Accidental death benefit – in the event of your death within the policy term, provided death occurs within 30 days of the accident, we will pay an additional 50% of the Life Cover.
Go to the YourLife Homepage and follow the on screen instructions. We won’t ask you to take a medical, but will ask you to answer a short medical/lifestyle questionnaire. Answer all questions truthfully and accurately, as not doing so may result in us not paying a claim.
You are able to pay your premiums on a monthly or annual basis, by debit card or direct debit. If you choose to pay by debit card your account will be debited on the chosen date (or closest working day) each month or annually, as chosen by you. If you choose to pay by direct debit your account will be debited in the same way. In addition you will be requested by email to complete & return a direct debit form with a 'wet signature' for us to forward to your bank. Please do not delay completing this form otherwise your policy will not be issued and may result in us cancelling your application.
The protection benefits provided by Zurich YourLife are dependent on you paying premiums when they are due. Stopping your regular premiums will cause your policy to lapse, and this means the policy will end and all your benefits will cease.
You will be protected (also referred to as 'on risk') once you have completed the online application successfully. The final confirmation screen will confirm at the top of the page "Your cover starts now!"
Your policy schedule will be emailed to you once your first payment has been deducted from your bank account.
You can access your policy online using Zurich International Online (ZIO). Your username and instructions on how to access ZIO will be sent to you via email once your policy schedule has been issued.
